**Learn numerology meanings; How to Use numerology calculator to find the spiritual meaning of numbers**

**Numerology is the study of numbers. More specifically it looks at the way numbers
reflect certain aptitudes and
character traits. **

**This isn't only for people. It can be used to determine the type of home life (house number) or what kind of year you're going to have ( personal year number).**

**Using a basic understanding of number assignments to letters and how to reduce numbers to a single digit you can determine the numerology meanings, or characteristics, of anything.**

**Using numerology meanings can be helpful when trying to decide between two houses, when to start a job, or what to name your child. It can also help you to prepare for the year ahead by finding your personal year number.**

**Magical uses of numerology meanings abound. You can use it to encode a person's name when you are doing work for them. You can determine your magical name by choosing one that is a numerological match for your life path number. You can also use by putting your numbers on an amulet or talisman.**

**Pythagoras, the Greek mathematician who live from 569-470 B.C., is said by many to be the originator of much of what we call numerology today. The actual origins of numerology predate Pythagoras, the most popular being the very old Hebrew Kabbala.**

**The following is known as a Pythagorean Numerology Table. You use it by finding the letter in question on the chart and looking directly above it for the number assignment. You then add these numbers, reduce them to a single digit and VIOLA, you have the numerical representation of the person, event, or thing in question.**

**The three
****most common numbers used are Life Path, Expression, and Personal Year. I will show you how to calculate each of
these. **

** You can then take that number and look up their numerology meanings on the web. I have a basic number meaning page, here, but
if you want in depth meaning for personal year, life path etc, there are many
great places to go, so I'm not going to reinvent the wheel.**

**How to find
your Life Path number**

** **

**First,
reduce EACH PART of your birth date: month, day, and year down to a
single-digit number or a Master number (Master numbers are 11, 22 and 33). **

**Next, add
each of the resulting digits (or Master numbers) together and reduce the total
again to a single digit, or a Master number.**

** **

**For example,
if you were born on November, 24 1977, you would calculate your Life Path as
follows:**

** **

**Month: November
is the 11th month of the year. 11 is a master number so you would keep it as
11.**

** **

**Day: The
date of birth is 24. 24 reduces to 6(2 + 4= 6)**

** **

**Year: The
year of birth is 1977. 1977 reduces to 6 (1 + 9 + 7 + 7 = 24), then (2 + 4= 6)**

** **
**Now add the
resulting numbers: 11 + 6 + 6 = 23, then further reduce 23 (2 + 3= 5) .**
** **
**The Life
Path number in this case is 5**

** **
**Finding your
Expression or Destiny Number:**

**Use the name
given a person at birth- which reveals the overall personality. **

**To calculate
the this, find the number that corresponds to each letter in the name in the Pythagorean
Numerology Chart, add the numerals up, and then "reduce" the final
number to a single digit, as you did with the life path number.**

**The Life
Path Number is less about personality than it is about career. The Expression
Number, however, reveals the overall personality of an individual.**

**What is Your Personal
Year?**

**The Personal
Year is helpful in evaluating the trend of the coming calendar year. For a clue
as to what lies ahead in the coming year, calculate your personal year using
this formula: **
** **
**First,
reduce the month and day of your birth, your birthday, to a single digit. **

**Using
my birthday for example, February 8th, that single digit would be 1 (2+8=10;
1+0=1). If your month and day total comes to 11 or 22, the master numbers, in
this instance, reduce the number to 2 and 4, respectively. **

** **
**Next, reduce
the year for which you are making the calculation to a single digit. The year
2003 would become 5.**

** **
** **
**Now, add the
single digit representing your birthday to the single digit representing the
year in question. Thus, 2003 is a 6 personal year for you.**
